Giving the Deepestest Thankfulness to Those Who Helped Me Find the Light
Last week, I had one of my favorite
birthdays.
Because in 2018, February 16th is also the
first day of the Chinese New Year, I participated in a huge Lunar New Year
party in The Webb School. Although it is not held not only for me but also all
other Chinese students and faculties who were parts of the school, I still feel
satisfied.
The Reason why I felt so happy about my
birthday is not only because of that party but also some other details which
moved me. To start with, after someone announced February 16th was my birthday
in chapel, many people, both my friends and those I wasn’t familiar with, said
happy birthday to me. In China, Because my birthday is always at the time when
my peers were enjoying the Chinese New Year with their family, they hardly ever
send a personal birthday wishes to me on my birthday. Therefore, those wishes
that the others gave me are important for me. I believe this is the first time
I received this much birthday wishes from the others in my birthday.
In addition, my classmates of World History I
sang happy birthday song to me when we were waiting for Mr. Chicken to open the
door of his classroom. I was surprised by them because I was really quiet in
history class and got little sense of participating. I'd say that they were the
people who surprised me the most on my birthday.
Moreover, my parents came to Tennessee and
had a really good time with me. I haven't seen them for nine weeks already.
Although I didn't get homesick, I still miss them pretty much.
Thanks for condoling me in the most difficult
dilemma and helping me find the way
out in the blinding darkness.
Sounds like you had a perfect day! Happy BIRTHDAY!!! I am glad you let me part of the celebrations. Of course! I am always here for you, emotionally and for proofreading! Did you proofread? 15/20
