You can (not) change.

  •   Today was a sunny day, also a Block Day.
  •   In China, people always say that the sky without any cloud can make them have a good mood. However, I don’t think so because in my opinion, if there is only blue above the sky, it is just the same as there is only white cloud covering the sky.
  •    I had French, World History, and English Today. Compared to the other classes that I attend, World History and English are truly not the type of class that I like.
  •   At the Seminar, I filled ACT’s information form. Before I come to America, I took SSAT in Shanghai for two times, the student information form for ACT is similar to SSAT’s.
  •   Tuesday is always so interesting, because after attended three classes, we go to club. I chose Animation club for my A club and Greenfeet club for my B club. Today is an A club day, so I went to the Animation club in Lundin’s Art Center.
  •   I am a big anime fan, and I also draw some cartoon figures by myself. Originally, before the beginning of this semester, I chose Art I for my art/music class on my course selection form, but unfortunately, because of schedule confliction, the school putted me in Pottery class first, then changed my Pottery class to English I.
  •   In Animation club, we have to draw pictures on the computers by graphic tablet. I have my own graphic tablet, in Asia, anime fans always use it to draw, instead of drawing on the paper.
  •   Mr. Quinn saw my painting on computer today, ang told me that I can get a license of Photoshop from him. Although the painting software that I am using now have all the features that I need, if I can get access to the more professional drawing software, I will still try. Therefore, I got a license of PS from him. He told me that after I got this license, I can also freely use other software from Adobe, like Illustrator and After Effect, I will learn how to use them in my free time in the second quarter, maybe.
  •   Time goes fast. I can still remember the details of the international students’ orientation day, but it is the end of the first quarter now, the semester already pasted one half, very quick, I can saw my friends in China face to face again.
  •   Try hard and leave no forgiveness, that is what I can do now.

About Soft Drink and Sugar

For some of the middle scholars in The Webb School, the amount of sugar they assimilate everyday is too much for them. Moreover, the situation of overdrinking soda is especially common among the middle school borders, so I believe we are in dire need of change. The lacking of self-control and the fact that their parents cannot know what they drink in the cafeteria are two major factors why children tend to drink soda. Personally, I'd like to say that instead of eradicating soft drink from the cafeteria, it is more reasonable for the school to add extra fee on them. To start with, asking students to pay extra fee for soft drink can bring down the number of students who drink too much. As we all know, it is hard to teach middle scholars what self-control is. Experience of Community Service

Lot things in the world are permanent, which means that they are unchangeable and unquenchable. The formula "2+2=4" is a good example. Curiosity is one of the always permanent things because people always tend to have a great curiosity for the things that they have never seen before. I think that is the reason why I want to do community service. In fact, when I was doing the community service of standing on a rock slate to ensure the cross-country runners was running along the right way, I was bored. The only two things I could do were watching them running by walking paces and waving my arms to tell them which way to go. Other volunteers were working in groups, only I was working individually, it meant that I did not even have a person who I could talk to.
