Sixth Week at Webb——a Short Summary
After I came to America, I cultivated a habit of writing diaries.
I do not write every single day. Only when there is something
unique or interesting happens, I write. Usually, I write after study hour
because writing something before sleep can always provide me with a feeling
of"this day is already over".
There was nothing special what happened this week, maybe this is
because I am already adapted to the rhythm of life at Webb. Therefore, for this
week's Blogger, I will write about some events that happened in the last several weeks but I
did not write down in my former two posts.
First thing is that I went on the dorm camping trip with Cooper-Farris
kids over the three-day-weekend. Compared to this camping trip, the 9th grade
camping trip was a piece of cake. In this 24-hour camping trip, we set up a tent and lit a bonfire by ourselves.
After the trip, I know much more about the kids who live in Cooper-Farris, some
of them have great leadership, some of them cannot manage themselves
well. However, after the dorm camping trip, I can feel that the friendship
between all of us has became stronger.
The second memorable event is the International Pool Party. The reason
why this pool party is memorable is that there were no girls who swam in the pool
during the whole afternoon. During the party, I chatted with Nicky and Elson. We talked about Calvin, mainly about his disadvantages. After the pool party, I
realized that what we did at the pool party was too bad, so I apologized to
Calvin, and told him what we discussed in the pool party. Although he forgave
me, he never sit with Nicky and Elson in the cafeteria anymore. Maybe it is my
fault, who knows?
The last thing I want to write about is the football game on
Friday, last week. Originally, if one invites me to watch a football game,
I'll never go, because I am not interested in ANY kind of ball games.
However, Mr. Garcia locked the door of the dorm and none of Cooper-Farris kids could
go back to the dorm, so I could only sit at the corner of the auditorium and watch the
game until it ended. In the last several weeks, I've also been forced to watch games, so this time I prepared myself well, I brought bug spray, food,
and a Kindle. Reading books, especially a book written by Natsume Soseki, on a
foot ball game is really a weird and stupid thing, but it is better than watching a sport, in which you don't know its basic rule. I read I Am A Cat at the game, it
is a really good book which depicts a Japanese teacher from his cat's perspective. I
want to recommend this book to all of you who are reading this passage.
After three more weeks, this quarter will end.
I will try my best to at least get an A- in all subjects.
See you next time.
Just because I am in a good mood, I am going to give everyone full points for completing their blogs! Lucky day for YOU! Sounds like you have been keeping yourself busy. I enjoy reading your observations!
